Driving Pursuits KC Mentor

Courtney Chapman is the COO for PROOF, a market research company that measures emotion. She focuses on developing business, creating strategic partnerships and opportunities to provide value for the clients of PROOF.

 

Courtney currently is the chair for the Welcome House Swing Fore Recovery golf tournament, on the committee for the Advent Health Championship Play It Forward matching gift program, and on the golf committee for NAWBO. She graduated from the Centurions Leadership Program in July of 2021. In 2019 she was the volunteer chairperson for the KC Golf Classic where she oversaw 500 volunteers for Kansas City’s largest golf event in Kansas City. She also was the former lead organizer at 1 million Cups Kansas City, a Kauffman entrepreneurship organization that allows entrepreneurs an opportunity to showcase their business and collaborate with other entrepreneurs and business leaders in the community.

Heidi Thummel is Director of Business Development for GBA and brings 20+ years of experience building her network on and off the golf course. On behalf of GBA, she is focused on client relationships and strategic growth. Outside of the office, she actively mentors young professionals and volunteers for several civic organizations

 

She started playing golf as a family activity when she was 8 years old. Her father recognized her athletic ability and outgoing personality, and impressed upon her the importance of golf in a successful sales career. Working in the engineering industry she has organized countless foursomes for tournaments, and really enjoys playing for fun with her husband and two daughters.

Selina Redeker is the Executive Director for the Kansas Golf Foundation – a nonprofit organization dedicated to growing and preserving the history golf in Kansas. She has worked in the golf industry for 17 years.

 

Selina started in golf at a young age later having to play on her high school’s all-boys golf team in Connecticut because of the lack of girl golfers in the area. After beating all the boys, she transferred her senior year to the International Junior Golf Academy in South Carolina where she lived with and competed against junior girl golfers from all over the world. Selina went on to play 3 years of Division I golf at Stetson University in Florida before landing a job with golf equipment manufacturer Titleist. She now lives in Olathe with her husband and two kids.

A lifelong athlete and competitor, and the daughter of two Naval Aviators, Rachel grew up all across the Eastern Seaboard. She was fortunate to garner unique life experiences as a Navy Brat and daughter of the “World’s Best Pilot,” Wendi B. Carpenter. She played collegiate golf at the University of Arkansas and St. John’s University in New York, and then competed Professionally until September of 2016.

A Certified Personal Trainer, Rachel is passionate about all things Health and Fitness. She is now a successful Employee Benefits Sales Representative with Mutual of Omaha in Kansas City, where she helps Brokers and Employers craft the best Benefit Plans possible for Employees.

As founder and CEO of Veracity, Angela Hurt oversees the strategic direction of the company, a tech consulting team of problem-solvers and truth-tellers who deliver customized IT solutions for its customers in the commercial and government sectors. She's passionate about leading the company's business strategy and always recognizing where the market is heading.

She is a passionate advocate for women, especially in areas of unemployment and underemployment, and works to help girls and women gain confidence and leadership skills. She has been recognized as a Kansas City Business Journal Women Who Mean Business, a Kansas City Rising Star, and as one of KC’s Influential Women.
